Analysis of Typical IP Cases under the Background of Digital Economy
At the end of December, 2023, ZY’s Intellectual Property team gathered for the final training session of the year. This training was given by lawyer WANG Hanmei. The partners, ZHOU Qiang, DENG Huiqiong, attended the lesson offline, and the partner, LI Xiaohong attended online. More than 20 lawyers, paralegals and legal secretaries of our firm participated in this training.
The theme of this training is "Analysis of Typical IP Cases under the Background of Digital Economy", which aims to lead the participants to understand the characteristics and adjudication rules of typical cases related to the digital economy, and inspire the lawyers to pay more attention to the development of the digital economy and relevant intellectual property.
At first, Ms. WANG Hanmei briefly introduced the concept, elements and characteristics of digital economy, and then focused on combing and analyzing the facts, core issues, referee rules and typical significance of three classic cases related to digital economy, and guided everyone to discuss about the cases. Ms.Wang also explained related hot issues, such as the algorithm setting of search engines, the creating and shelving process of digital collections, and the process of creating AI-generated images. The participators discussed the relevant legal issues of the cases, meanwhile, they also expressed their views on the new technologies, new things and new formats involved.
Recently, “Guideline on Work regarding Data Intellectual Property for Enterprises in Beijing (Trial Implementation)” was issued in Beijing. In the era of digital economy, the management and development of digital intellectual property have attracted more attention from all walks of life, as well as have become a blue ocean in legal industry.
